Futuristic Seashell House Generating Energy From Tides Featured
Index
A London based architect, Margot Krasojevic has created a house located on the banks of the Seine, that uses powerful movement of waves to generate energy. This Hydroelectric Tidal house was inspired by a seashell and it contains two shells - one inner and one outer.
The outer shell is made of concrete which helps keep the structure stable and contains solar cells to generate energy. The inner shell rises with the tide with two type of turbines, one which uses lightweight aluminum chambers to compress air when wave arises creating electrical current. The other uses magnets that move along a copper wire, also generating electrical energy.
The structure has enclosed floating circular champagne glass bar with adequate natural light situated over the mouth spillway that intakes the water and sends it to the underground canal. This water is then diverted into lakes and reservoirs.
